Developing Relational Grounded Presence is the foundational step in Relational Wholebody Focusing.
5 Elements of Relational Grounded Presence
1) Environment
inviting my whole physical organism, my entire BodyMInd, to notice and take in the sounds, smells, temperature, space, sights, familiar or strange objects of my surroundings; how does my conscious living body receive the life around it? how does the life around me, receive me and my body?
2) Physical Body
muscle-skeletal body structure, responsive bodily posture, bodily gestures, exploring physical contact and support with the environment, body’s relationship to gravitational space inside of the 8 spatial directions :
1) the space beneath my feet and legs (earth and ground) 2) the space above my shoulders and head (rising up towards sky) 3) the social space in front of me and my body 4) the often forgotten space behind me, whence care-givers held me and the environment still holds me 5) the inner space felt sensing life process inside of my wholebody 6) the space to the left of me 7) the space to the right of me 8) the experience of being held and supported by the 3 dimensional surround of my whole living body all at a oneness: I arrive fully to myself in this wholebody heartfelt presence to the mystery of my own unique aliveness.
3) Energy Body
sensory organs, inner body sensations, emotions, energy flow, breath, fluid tides of our internal organs, quality of mind that observes and responds to all of phenomenal experience, a more subtle quality of fluctuating and ever-emergent spirit life
4) Inter-Relational
dynamic living spaces between myself and another
receiving myself in a wholebody heartfelt way
receiving you in a wholebody heartfelt way
allowing you and our we space to receive me in my wholeness (and whatever also gets in the way of that)
5) Wholeness of my Larger Self (Transpersonal)
all of Me here at home in my body, observing my living experience interacting with the environment and other(s), in a naturally emerging relational wholebody way
discovering myself freshly as I emerge through our wholebody heartfelt interaction; the life in You touches and changes the life in Me, and vice versa
